ROAD TO HANA >> Keanae Peninsula Around mile marker 17, keep a lookout for the Keanae Arboretum. Shortly after you pass it you'll take a left at the Keanae sign, which will lead to Keanae Peninsula. As the road descends you'll see a flat area of land and some taro fields. It's a magical place but don't get too close to the ocean, rogue waves can easily knock you into the lava rock! Waikamoi Located just after mile marker 10, this is one of the most beautiful 70' waterfalls on Maui (often not visible unless it's been raining). If it's flowing, for the best view, take a short hike upstream - it's worth it. As always, be careful and watch your step. Make sure you have sturdy shoes if it's wet! Garden of Eden With amazing flowers, plants, and trees, The Garden of Eden Botanical Garden offers over 500 of the most beautiful indigenous specimens, each one individually botanically labelled. The $15 fee per person allows you to drive or walk the beautiful gardens, but we highly suggest you walk. There are many very fragrant flowers you'll want to smell along the paths. e Road to Hana EXPLORING MAUI Waianapanapa At mile marker 32, this 120 acre park features a black sand beach, freshwater caves, and blow holes. Take the hike along the ancient Hawaiian coastal lava trail - amazing! Next stop... Hana! >> More stops on the Road to Hana Puaa Kaa A couple hundred yards before mile marker 23, you'll see Puaa Kaa State Park. Park in the turnout and cross the road to the path.
