THE GREAT,
LONG HUMPBACK WHALE
MIGRATION
Humpbacks travel at a speed of 3-6 mph, but can
cruise at up to 20 mph for short distances.
But they don't all migrate at one time. In fact, some don't migrate
at all - a phenomenon that still has researchers baffled.
HUMPBACK BRAIN POWER
Humpbacks may use the magnetite in their
brains, in conjunction with the Earth's
magnetic field, to navigate.
