The WAILEA WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL on the 14th—benefiting the nonprofit visual arts center Hui Noeau—is an event that is sure to impress. HI-TECH/VANS/ LOPEZ SURFBASH is Maui's largest annual surf contest and takes place at Hookipa Beach Park on the North Shore at the end of the month 877-2111. DECEMBER Whale season officially starts! SANTA will be visiting and arriving by canoe at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui and skydiving in at the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua.
