45 Hear the Island PICTURE YOURSELF DOING THIS ON MAUI: You're relaxing, with your shoes off, feet in the sand, under the shade of a palapa, looking out at the ocean and outer islands in the distance, while listening to beautiful live music evoking the Aloha Spirit of our island. Guess where you are? In Kaanapali at the Hula Grill Restaurant in Whaler's Village, right beside the ocean. Whatever you do on Friday, don't miss out on Hula Grill. Their Aloha Friday begins at 9:30- 10:30am with complimentary ukulele lessons from renowned ukulele performer Derick Sebastian. Afterwards, at 11am, he performs live. But it doesn't end there. Aloha Friday at Hula Grill is an all-day event. At 2pm the conch shell is blown, indicating the start of a mini luau, featuring traditional Hawaiian chanting, Polynesian drumming, and hula dancing. There's even island-style menu specials that make exclusive appearances on Aloha Friday. Featuring a spectacular array of talented, and often award-winning musicians, the island-style music perfectly compliments the tropical feeling of paradise that exists nowhere other than at Hula Grill. Each afternoon, starting at 2pm and continuing until 5pm, and then again during sunset & dinner from 6pm to 9pm, expect to be serenaded, Hawaiian style, while your taste buds enjoy their delicious cuisine. And not to be outdone by Friday, on the first Sunday of each month, Hula Grill presents their famous concert series, which replaces their regular afternoon music with either an award-winning celebrity musician or an up & coming new talent to kick off the month. Music resumes again at 6pm that evening. If you're looking for the sweet sounds of Maui, accompanied by the delicious tastes of fresh fish and Pacific Rim cuisine, look no further than Hula Grill.
