Located about 9 miles past the town of Hana at mile marker
42 is Oheo Gulch, oen referred to as the "Seven Sacred
Pools." It was so named in 1947 as an attempt to attract
visitors. It worked! Look for the parking lot and picnic area.
This is a great place to play and swim. However, be cautious
in heavy rains when the water is flowing ($25 park fee).

Just before the town of Hana, and a little past mile marker 32,
is one of the most special places on Maui. This small family-run
recreational area offers incredible views, pounding surf, a blowhole,
and a pebbly black sand beach. But the best part about it is the trail.
Aer parking, walk to your le and you'll see the sign that tells the
story about an ancient princess who was murdered there. Then walk
the meandering path through the hau forest. It feels like you're in a
storybook, like Alice in Wonderland in Hawaii. You'll definitely need
your camera here.
