A couple hundred yards before mile marker 23, you'll see Puaa
Kaa State Park. Park in the turnout and cross the road to the path.
It leads to a lovely 20 waterfall and two small swimming holes.
For those who wish to adventure farther, there's another, more
powerful, waterfall up higher. To get there, walk along the water
ditch and up the stream but be careful, this is challenging.

Keep a lookout for the Keanae Arboretum. Shortly aer you
pass it you'll take a le at the Keanae sign, which will lead to
Keanae Peninsula. As the road descends, you'll see a flat area
of land and some taro beds. Get out of the car and explore the
shoreline this place is magical. But don't get too close to the
ocean; rogue waves can easily knock you into the lava rock!
