Bike Rentals One of the least expensive and most fun ways to see Maui at your own pace is to rent a bicycle. Boss Frog's (442-3264) has multiple locations and a variety of bikes including beach cruisers, road bikes and mountain bikes. Their rentals include helmets & bike locks, plus they have a full service bike shop in Lahaina (get a discount on their snorkel cruise with every rental). Also, bikes are available now at Lahaina Water Sports (661-3388) on Front Street across from the Banyan Tree. Touring In Style There's nothing like touring Maui with an open, 360 degree view all around you. Renting a Harley or scooter from Aloha Motorsports is the way to go! (667-7000). Horseback Riding If you're looking for an activity that will take you off the beaten path, show you nature in a way that will get you in touch with the earth, the sky and the mountains like no other activity, then you're ready to go horseback riding on Maui. And our favorite company to go with is Mendes Ranch (888) 340-4349. When you mention that you saw them in this magazine you'll get a big savings, plus be treated like the VIP that you really are! Custom Cruise A relatively new phenomenon in boat trips, the Custom Cruise is especially popular for those wanting a more personalized experience. There are a few companies that specialize in, and only do, single- party charters. These are the perfect boat adventures for guests wanting a very private, exclusive experience, along with the ability to go exactly where you want to go. Our recommendations for exclusive private charter boats are Captain Woody's (667-2290), XIAN (891-2628) and Kainani Sailing Charters (495-1001). Maui's Animal Farm This is one of the most fun activities for kids and adults that still have some of the kid inside them (like me). If you love animals, you'll love Maui Animal Farm (280-2597). This awesome place is located near Lahaina. Guided Jeep Tours Ready for something different and fun? Think you've seen everthing Maui has to offer? Guess again. Kapuna Jeep Trails (250-4437) will take you on a personally guided adventure to places inaccessible by others that's because they have exclusive access to private areas on Maui. Secluded waterfalls, beaches, and panoramic vistas await you! MORE Things to do on Maui ACTIVITIES 36 Maui Island Guide & Driving Magazine • MauiDrivingMagazine.com SEE MAP on page 107:C4
