w t's hard not to be drawn in by the ambiance of the Hula Grill. You set off to enjoy a walk along the beautiful Ka'anapali Beach Boardwalk, and then it happens, you hear the gentle music from the live entertainment spilling out onto the walkway muffled a little by the lapping of the water on the beach. As you get closer you can hear voices and the sound of laughter carrying in the ocean breeze. Just as you notice that there are people under the thatched palapas with their toes in the sand at the Barefoot Bar, you catch a whiff of something wonderful cooking on the Kiawe wood grill. It is too hard to resist and why would you? This is why you came to Hawaii. Hula Grill delivers the experience you dreamed of: a spectacular oceanfront setting, a casual, friendly atmosphere and some of the most celebrated food on Maui. The Hula Grill experience only just begins when you enter this magical setting. Operating Partner, Chef Peter Merriman, is one of the original pioneers of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. The development of Hawaii Regional Cuisine was a coordinated movement by 12 local chefs, to move away from replicating continental recipes and having to use ingredients shipped over long distances. The mission of HRC was to inform the world about cuisine in Hawaii and promote Hawaii's locally sourced ingredients to island visitors. Twenty two years later, Executive Chef, Charlie Owen, is keeping the tradition alive. Hula Grill sources it's ingredients from over 40 local farmers and serves only Hawaiian fish caught using sustainable practices. They also serve such fine meats as Duroc pork, Jidori chicken and a 28-day dry aged ribeye. There are any number of reasons not to resist stopping in at Hula Grill Ka'anapali - from the live local music, to the seasonal Chef's Tasting Menu, to the festivities of Aloha Friday, to their very own locally crafted Barefoot Brew. You might be able to defy the lure of Hula Grill Ka'anapali - but don't. This is one guilty pleasure to be enjoyed again and again. HULA GRILL KA'ANAPALI You Could Try to Resist, but Why Would You?
