24 Beach on Maui Play in the warm sand. Having been born and raised on Maui, I've practically lived at the beach my entire life. I still spend most weekends at one beach or another, with my wife, kids, and parents, enjoying the sun and surf. We love snorkeling at Kaanapali Beach, where the reef formations and sea creatures are unmatched. I recommend Launiupoko for surfing and boogie boarding - the waves keep coming just about nonstop. We enjoy sunbathing at Big Beach or Napili Bay, both of which have stretches of sparkling white sand. Kamaole III Beach with its playground, volleyball net, and barbecues, is our favorite spot for family picnics. While you're on Maui, make sure to get your toes in the sand and experience all that Maui's beaches have to offer. The biggest wave ridden on Maui was 70 ft. I'm an avid kiteboarder, and my favorite spot to catch the winds is off Kanaha Beach Park. This island's got a lot going for it. It's not too crowded, and there's plenty of good restaurants.
