55 WEST MAUI This side of the island is packed with fantastic adventures, oceanfront restaurants, historic sites, exceptional beaches and much more! We would love to show them all to you, but it would take over 100 pages. Instead, we'll take you on a day's journey, highlighting some of the very best of the best. Breakfast with a view! 7:00 AM: Breakfast at Dukes by Sarah & Paul Noble Helpful tip 1: Lahaina is the one place on Maui where it's almost always sunny. Definitely bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses, and if you plan on swimming, bring or buy a rash guard. Helpful tip 2: If you have young kids with you, the perfect beach is located near Safeway at the end of Kenui Street, on Front Street. Very calm and shallow - it's very safe. It's even called 'Baby Beach'. Helpful tip 3: Friday night is art night in Lahaina Town. Meet and greet local Maui artists at the galleries, and watch them create their masterpieces. It's lots of fun for the whole family! Helpful tip 4: For those adventurous enough to travel past Napili, you'll find Kapalua Golf Course, secluded beaches, and the Nakalele Blowhole. But be careful, it can be dangerous at the blowhole! Our First Stop... Heading to Napili: We started off our day at Duke's Restaurant, just north of Kaanapali, one of West Maui's tastiest places for breakfast. It's a little tricky to find, but it's way worth the search. The food and service are great, while the view is absolutely incredible. TIPS: Helpful Lahaina & West Maui continued on page 58 Great Drives around Maui
