Using fresh island fish and locally grown organic produce, along with the perfect blending of Eastern, Western and Hawaiian influences, our island dishes are uniquely divine. Below, and on the following pages, we take a peek at a few of our favorite restaurants. Enjoy! Duke's DINING Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii's most revered waterman and ambassador of aloha, lived by these words: "In Hawaii we greet friends, loved ones, and strangers with aloha." At Duke's Beach House, situated on Kaanapali's stunning North Beach, that's exactly how you'll be treated by their staff. It's as if you're an honored guest in Duke's beachside vacation home. Beach Boy Burritos or Local Kine Eggs for breakfast; Maui Onion Soup and Roasted Turkey, Bacon, and Brie sandwich for lunch; Kaanapali Kabob or Scampi Kealoha for dinner...is your mouth watering yet? Duke's Beach House sources ingredients from more than 20 local farms. It doesn't get any fresher than that! And then there's the legendary Hula Pie. It's practically a crime not to have some while you're on Maui. But be forewarned— you must plan your attack before digging in-choosing your angle is very important in a situation like this. They get super busy, so go ahead and make a reservation today! He uses organic, fresh, local ingredients to produce some of the most mouth watering dishes available. At Mala, a must try is the Balinese Stir Fry made with locally caught fresh fish, it is a gourmet feast and beautifully presented. Also the Avalon seared Ahi Sashimi with a ginger sauce that comes mild, medium or spicy, is a delight to the senses and a real treat for the taste buds! Honu is equally as imaginative, with Opakapaka served whole, roasted with Hawaiian salt, lemon and olive oil. Both restaurants serve fantastic food, have a breathtaking view and service that's always first rate. It is no wonder these places are so popular!
