It's no wonder why the quaint town of Olowalu, on the way to
Lahaina, feels so peaceful. Historically, Olowalu has always been
a place of sanctuary, or pu'u honua, by Hawaiians – you're safe
once inside Olowalu's borders.
How to Find it: After coming down the pali (cliffs) toward
Lahaina, Olowalu will be 3.3 miles on your right. Be sure to stop
by both the Olowalu General Store and Leoda's Kitchen and Pie
Shop to get a down home feel and taste for the island of Maui!
