The "Road to Hana" drive is a must do while on Maui. Spend the day exploring waterfalls, lava caves, black and red sand beaches, swimming in fresh water pools and just plain having fun. The 42 miles of paradise, with 620 curves and 56 one-lane bridges, makes this a scenic delight. Hana The Road to On your left, after you pass the only traffic light in the town of Paia, you'll want to pull into the Minit Stop and GAS UP - top it off as this is the last place to get gas until you get to Hana. While you're there, be sure to stop by Hana Picnic Lunch Company. It's known by most visitors and locals as the unofficial Road to Hana Visitor Center. It's right next door to the Minit Stop, and they're pretty much the experts when it comes to the Road to Hana (they drive it all the time). They maintain Updated Weather (you'll see it inside on their chalkboard), along with the daily Road Conditions. They also offer just about everything you'll need for the road to Hana adventure - and it varies dependent upon weather. You can even grab a Hana CD Tour that will show you exactly where all the waterfalls, sights and secluded beaches are located. A great way to plan out your trip - actually it's invaluable.
